The latest report from RBC on Vancouver’s hyper-inflated housing market didn’t pull punches in describing our descent into real-estate madness.

Home prices in the city are “dangerously unaffordable” and “astounding” and potentially “detached from reality,” said the Housing Trends and Affordability report.

“It’s a crisis,” said NDP housing critic David Eby, insisting de Jong should take aggressive action.

“Managing what is currently an out-of-control real estate market should be a priority of this provincial government. Instead, they seem content to just watch and see what happens.”
