Provincial State of Emergency Declared in Response to Wildfires

On July 21st, a state of emergency began in B.C. based upon the recommendation from the BC Wildfire Service and Emergency Management BC.  

The state of emergency will be in effect for 14 days once issued and may be extended or rescinded as necessary. 

The BC Wildfire Service continues to monitor the situation and provides updates as conditions warrant. 

If you have been evacuated from your community due to wildfires, you should register with Emergency Support Services (ESS) whether you need the support or not.
