INFORMATION FOR VOTERS

REQUESTING A MAIL BALLOT PACKAGE

If you (1) cannot physically attend a voting place, or (2) will be out of town on both advance and general voting days, or (3) live in a *remote area, you may request a “mail ballot package”.

 

* Remote areas include: Bowyer Island, Passage Island, Boulder Island, Grebe Islets, those parts of Electoral Area A shown on the maps that form part of the Bylaw (see below) labelled as “Indian Arm North, Indian Arm South, Pitt Lake North, Pitt Lake South, Widgeon Creek, and Carraholly Point”. Greater Vancouver Regional District Bylaw 1146, 2011.

The Request for a Mail Ballot Voting Package* will be available following the May 21, 2019 Chief Election Officer’s declaration of an Election, if applicable. Completed requests for a Mail Ballot Voting Package must be received no later than 4pm on Monday, June 3, 2019.

* Mail Ballot Packages will be available for issue on May 28, 2019. Completed ballot packages must be returned to and received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 4pm on Friday, June 14, 2019.

Voting locations will be open between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as follows:

Wednesday, June 5

  • Metro Vancouver Head Office (Main Floor Lobby), Metrotower III, 4730 Kingsway, Burnaby
  • Wesbrook Community Centre, 3335 Webber Lane, Vancouver

Saturday, June 8

  • Gleneagles Community Centre, 6262 Marine Drive, West Vancouver
  • Wesbrook Community Centre, 3335 Webber Lane, Vancouver

Saturday, June 15

  • Tetotum Community Centre, Barnston Island
